The grace and splendour of the century before last are to be recaptured in this ambitious project for our clients, Merchant Land, in the heart of London’s Marylebone.
Seymour Place is ideally positioned for the West End, yet the location for just a dozen new homes being created here retains ready access to the spectacular surroundings of nearby Regent’s Park.
Working closely with designers and the wider Merchant Land team, we have begun the first-stage of a painstaking rebuilding project which will restore the facade of a wonderful Victorian terrace, with the addition of an ultra-modern rear elevation.
Carey London were involved in the demolition of the existing building, including all temporary works associated with propping the remaining structures, while demolition was completed. Carey London Ltd is also rebuilding the concrete structure, a complex task given the nature and logistics of the site.
The building takes up the full footprint of the site and all deliveries have to be on a just-in-time basis. These access challenges, and the need to recreate the era while delivering the latest in 21st century construction standards, all present unique challenges at Seymour Place. Carey London Limited is proud to have been chosen to help deliver this unique addition to London’s residential market.
